Mason Meets Her Instructor

After breakfast on Saturday, Dad said to all of the children, “Hurry and help Mom clean off the table. This morning we are going to meet Mason’s riding instructor.”

Mason did not know how to feel about meeting her instructor for the first time. Mom saw a worried look on Mason’s face. “Don’t worry, soon you will meet your instructor and learn what is expected of you. After that, you will enjoy riding lessons.”

Mason sure hoped the butterflies in her stomach would settle down. As the truck pulled into the parking lot of the riding arena, Mason spotted her friend Lexis from school. The children were all gathered around a lady. “That is your instructor Mason.” said Mom.

Soon the instructor saw Mason and walked over. “You must be Mason! You can call me Miss Bee. If you do what I ask of you I won’t sting you,” she said with a big laugh. “How does that sound?” Mason giggled. She felt good and she liked her instructor already.
